This is not Christianity.

 

What passes for "Christian" in so many, many congregations today and has done so over the last seven decades is in fact not Christianity at all but another religion altogether. If I were to write a book on this topic I would entitle it, “Christianity and the Word Faith Movement and the New Apostolic Reformation Movement” with a nod to the late Dr. J. Gresham Machen's wonderful book, "Christianity and Liberalism."  Both religious movements preach another gospel and another Jesus, if they even bother to mention the gospel or Jesus at all. Dr. Machen's title intentionally put Christianity and Liberalism as two totally different religions. That would by my intention as well. 

The apostles Paul and Peter and James and Jude and John addressed what the Spirit had shown them about the future of the church, giving an explicit warning to the body of Christ (the church) concerning such damnable heretical movements and eras. 

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:

 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. (2 Tim. 4:1-4 ESV)

 18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.

 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.

 20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.

 (1 Jn. 2:18-20 ESV)

 3 Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

 4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:3-4 ESV)

         The gospel of these movements makes man the center of all things, relegating to their followers the status of divinity. “Critics, be damned! I am a little god.” That is a direct quote from a servant of the devil, the late Paul Crouch. He said that many years ago during a TBN broadcast with Kenneth and Gloria Copeland as his guest. And the live TBN audience clapped and cheered them on. Dear reader, this is not Christianity.

         The strange and bizarre antics of the thousands of false prophets and false teachers and false apostles and false pastors and their deceitful preaching are the fruits Jesus said the false leaders would be known by (Mt. 7:21-27).
        Jesus also said this about these abominable men and women,  21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

 22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?'

 23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' (Matt. 7:21-23 ESV)

        Jesus will say this to men and women who have deceived, as it turns out millions and led them along with themselves into the lake of fire. Jesus will say this as these deceivers realize that they are about to be cast into the lake of fire.
